International Friends are students and scholars from around the world who connect with Austin Community Hosts on a monthly basis. Community Hosts are a combination of young professionals, long-time residents or local families who volunteer to introduce one or more international Longhorns to the diverse city of Austin, unique culture of Texas and personal family traditions.
This program is designed for exchange students, incoming international undergraduate or graduate students and international scholars or faculty members. International Friends should be prepared to learn about the culture of their host, and be comfortable with sharing their own views and traditions.
