Join this information session to learn more about the Friendship Program and ask questions about volunteering as an Austin Community Host.
Community hosts have the opportunity to meet people from around the world while introducing our international Longhorns to the diverse city of Austin, the unique culture of Texas and personal family traditions.
The expectation of the host is to plan activities, gatherings and/or meals with their international friend(s) on a monthly basis. Community hosts may be a single person, couple or family living in Austin or a nearby city (e.g. Round Rock, Bastrop, Buda).
The experience provides a space for intercultural learning and has been the foundation for lifelong friendships among many participants.
