Texas Global supports a community of 7,500 students and researchers from 140 countries on campus. International student scholarships help draw the world’s most brilliant students and scholars to campus which gives all Longhorns the opportunity to learn in an intercultural academic environment.
Invest in Global Education
A global mindset will be critical for the next general of global leaders, and we are determined to make global experiences possible for all Longhorns so they are equipped with the skills, knowledge and cultural competency to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges.
We invite you to join us in our efforts by supporting programs and initiatives that connect UT with the world, turn possibilities into real-world opportunities and advance UT’s international research collaborations. Not only will your gift transform the lives of Longhorns, but you will expand the university’s international reputation and impact.
“What starts here changes the world” is not just our motto, it’s our way of life, and what starts here starts with you.

More Ways to Give
You can honor someone important to you while providing permanent support. The money is invested, and each year a distribution is made from the endowment to support the program or area of your choice. Learn more about creating an endowment at UT.
Planned gifts can be made now or deferred to a later time. Some enable you to support UT Austin, receive tax benefits, and sustain your current lifestyle. Such gifts include bequests through a will, retirement plan assets, and charitable trusts. Learn more about planned and estate gifts.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated securities and closely held stock can be extremely beneficial —both to you and to UT Austin. You may receive an income-tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities, as well as reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes. Gifts of stock and mutual funds are coordinated by the UT System Office of Development and Gift Planning Services. Proceeds from the sale of these assets are directed to any program you wish. Please contact Charlotte Hambrick for more information.
