Placement tests are required of some students before they will be allowed to register for certain courses. The results of these tests are used for placement at appropriate instructional levels in those subjects. When choosing courses for registration, you may need to consider the results of such tests. Check with your academic advisor on eligibility for placement tests. All required tests for course placement are listed in a schedule available from the Measurement and Evaluation Center (MEC) along with several optional tests. For most tests, information that includes a test description, sample questions, and eligibility requirements is available from the MEC home page, or at their office located at 2616 Wichita. Telephone: (512) 232-2662.
