Community Collaborators Program

From June 20 - July 29, the Texas Global will host 25 of Africa's best and brightest entrepreneurs for a six-week Business and Entrepreneurship Institute as a part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders program. A component of this six-week fellowship is to provide networking and/or collaboration opportunities with Austin-based professionals and businesses operating in the sectors of manufacturing, marketing, food production, tech, education, fashion/beauty, and art/media.

This program gives Austin business community members the opportunity to internationalize their professional networks and participate in intercultural exchange without leaving the city! Community Collaborators are also eligible to apply for a Reciprocal Exchange Travel Grant to support their travel to the Fellow's home country to continue working on a project together.

Community Collaborators are expected to host a group of 1-4 fellows for three half-day site visits to their business or organization during the Fellowship institute. Dates and activities for these site visits are flexible. Hosting may include collaborating on a shared project, job shadowing, mentoring, participating in networking or professional development events, reviewing the fellows' business plans, and more.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences and building relationships internationally, apply to be a Community Collaborator!
