Peace Corps: Cookies and Careers

Bring your lunch, grab a cookie, and join us in the Texas Global Lounge for a career panel with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs). Hear what their service experiences were like and the career paths that followed. We will have RPCVs representing a wide range of host countries (El Salvador, Ecuador, Jordan, and Moldova) who will discuss their careers in international development policy, local government legislation, health administration, international finance, and university global programming.

Hosted by UT Austin's Peace Corps Prep Faculty Advisor, Michele Hockett Cooper, who attributes her teaching career to her training in Peace Corps Kazakhstan. Our on-campus recruiter, Anne Saldivar, expanded her public health work with a Peace Corps fellowship in global health policy, and continued federal service work at the NIH before joining Texas Global.
