Lucie Zacharová

Assistant Director

Lucie obtained her MBA in Worldwide Executive EMBA Program (Prague-Sao Paulo-Pittsburgh) from Katz Graduate School of Business at University of Pittsburgh. Her expertise is in academic program operations and development, leadership, project management, business partnerships, and international academic relations.

She is a product of Study Abroad and belongs to the first generation that could travel after Czech Velvet Revolution of 1989.  She has studied educational systems, taught Czech and English languages/literatures and developed her advising capabilities and program management skills as Director of CIEE Study Center Prague and Associate Director of Study Abroad at Kettering University in Michigan.

Lucie is a Czech native and European at heart who loves outdoor nature, art, literature, film, and enjoys advocating for different cultural perspectives in all that we do.  She can share insider tips on contemporary Czech expact cultures in Chicago and Hawaii or point you to less touristic sides of Prague, Moravia, and Czech Republic, her other homes.  Lucie can get by using a few (mainly Slavic) languages when she travels and she hopes you will find inspiration to pursue some languages when you study abroad as well.  Because the “more languages you know, more people you become,” as Czech proverb has it.
