Jacqui Stewart Hobbs joined Texas Global as the Peace Corps Recruiter on Aug. 14, 2017. Previously, Jacqui worked as the Emergency Business Development Program Manager for Catholic Relief Services in Niger and before then was the OFDA Ebola Program Manager in Liberia and the Quality Assurance Program Manager in Senegal for the same organization. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea where she served three years. Jacqui also served as a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Rwanda.
Jacqui is a native Austinite and received her Master’s in Public Health and Social Work from Tulane University as well as her Bachelors of Sociology at Boston University.
On a personal note, Jacqui loves being outside, especially anywhere that she can go swimming (and yes, anything below 85 F is considered cold in her opinion!). Her other interests include spending time with her nieces and nephew, reading, writing, immigration activism, baking, and travel (and the required sampling of street food that goes along with travel). And when she isn’t out exploring the world, she can usually be found at home snuggling with her fur babies (one hyper little dog and two old grumpy but loveable cats).
