Olivia officially joined ISSS in January of 2016. She grew up enjoying the bright sunshine of Phoenix, Arizona and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and English from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. She spent another four years in Seoul teaching adult English classes for Pagoda Academy. Subsequently, she spent some time working in Europe as Client Executive for Nielsen in Oxford, England.
After spending over four years in England, she returned to the U.S. and obtained her JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. During law school she held clerkship and internship positions with the St. Mary’s University School of Law Center for Legal and Social Justice, the Attorney General of Texas, the Department of Homeland Security (USCIS), and Disability Rights Texas. Upon obtaining her license, she worked as a volunteer attorney for the Texas Civil Rights Project and Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. She also worked briefly as an Associate Attorney for Jung Ko, PLLC in Austin, Texas.
In her spare time, she likes to keep up with grand slam tennis and Austin’s live music scene with her partner.
